Well that was some session last night...
Larqus and Ishmael launched an invisible scouting mission on the
Zeelanders and then attacked later in the night with sonic balls,
initially targeting the commanders tent. Both these attacks, and those
subsequent - including lightning bolts - did not seem to effect the
full-plate clad Zeelander warriors.
As the wizards and sorcerers of the Zeelanders used their abilities to see
invisible, Larqus and Ishmael beat a hasty retreat. Larqus was shot down
from the sky, just outside the camp and as Ishmael sought to establish a
Wall of Force around him, the wizards and sorcerers launched a multitude
of Magic Missiles against Ishmael. Fortunately, he had just protected
himself with a Shield spell, negating a massive quantity of damage [80
points!]
Much further to the north, the wizard João arrived at the Emera camp (with
fellow scholars, assistants, and kangaroos laden with books) where Derek
and Joni were camped with a thousand Fey engaging in training and farming
the local community lands. João informed Joni that Zeelanders had landed
in La Finistra, crowned Antonio as the local vassal lord with Bishop Luis'
approval. Further, he noted that the ships of the head of the merchant's
guild, José, had not been targeted in the Zeelander attack.
Joni sent messengers to local towns informing them of that La Finistra was
in enemy hands; and from that she received correspondence back that other
towns had likewise fell. Recognising the nervousness among the Iberians,
she gave a great speech on how she would leave if the Iberians requested
taking the Fey with her. The speech, perhaps partially due to João's
maneuverings, was so welcomed that the Iberians present claimed a new era
where Iberian and Fey would be treated as equals and a new world would be
built. To represent the new alliance, a person part Fey and part Human
would be chosen as the new leader.. The rule of Rainha (Queen) Joni was
proclaimed!
