[Runequest] POW gain - mechanically?

I don't allow it; basically for a POW gain roll the character has to be
under serious psychic stress to warrant one in my opinion. Mind you in
the interests of game balance, I don't make them roll for it either, I
just give them a POW gain. 

Example: Last Sunday ran Gaumata's Vision, from Shadows on the
Borderland. I think everyone gets at least a point of POW from that...
One character, who almost was eaten, will probably get two..

Basically, I used the same house rule as I do for skill checks. Either
you learn through annual "living" experience, you learn through
training, tutoring or study or you learn from genuine
"fear-for-your-life" adventuring.
