Yep, actually that's what I'm doing - the result being that the POW gain
over time is not flat, but flatter than one might otherwise expect. To gain
POW according to RQ3 you must:
POWx5% to cast the spell
Overcome the target's MP with your own.
Succeed at a POW gain roll ((max species POW)-(currentPOW)*5%)
...so mathematically you have two things that start hard and get easier, and
only one thing that starts easy and gets harder.
Screw it, these are young players and they're in it for the hack and slash
fun, not for the role playing or for the gritty realism.
