Do not include large sections of a message in your reply. Especially not to add "Yeah, I agree" or "No, I disagree." Or be excoriated. If someone writes something good and you want to say "good show" please do. But don't include the whole message you praise. 2. Use an appropriate Subject line. 3. And I play Runequest with RQ3 French Edition in which there is no information about Magic Point Matrix Enchantment. So please Tell me How does it works exactly.. However, a concentration roll and (or) a malus due to fatigue being negative would be necessary to do so in my campaign. Concerning the freeing of ghost, I would not allow to break an enchantment that way. For me, only a specific spell (Free Ghost) or a physical break of the enchantment would allow that. A control spell (Control, Command, Dominate) can not go beyond the Enchantment force, meaning that the orders shall be done by the controlled creature only if they do not permit to elude the enchantement: for example, in the case of a ghost bound in a room with a condition being to stay within it, the creature will not obey to an order demanding to leave the room. For me, this is the same principle as not obeying an order demanding to a creature to kill itself. I do not remember if Free Ghost (Humakt Divine Magic) is reusable or not, but for the same reason, I would consider such spell as non-reusable (a kind of instant enchantement wiht loss of POW done to release another enchantment (Bind Ghost)). Do your PCs generally kill any lone stranger who comes along and acts friendly? Must be an exceeding grim game. (I'm joking of course -- trying to point out the flaws in this line of reasoning.) << Yes, I see your point. Usually, if a PC has been killed, the party is, ipso facto, in hostile territory. Therefore, a stranger trolling up is likely to be a baddie. Mainly, my PCs have a healthy suspicion of anyone who's too friendly - which means I'm keeping them on edge. Which is right! >> When a PC dies, he often chooses to return as one of the better-known NPCs. If he doesn't like the type of character that NPC normally acts as, then he rolls up one of the lesser-known NPCs. The party theoretically knows the guy, and has decided it's time for a promotion or to hire a personal valey or lackey or whatever. << Yeah, I've used this. It works _if_ the player feels he can be comfortable playing the NPCs character as presented - and I always allow "customization" in such cases. The reason for this is that my game world, Gensalorn (and _no_, there isn't a Home Page!), is based around a decadent mighty empire whose primary magic is sorcery, which was left behind by a fallen elder race. In this compass, sorcery is _supposed_ to be unfairly better than the other systems; the unspoken air of the game is rather like Star Wars - most PCs are against the Empire. Having said that, we do have a sorcerer PC, but he's hampered by some other millstones I've provided him with. Like excessive use of sorcery corrupting the individual... 99% of the sorcery in use is used by NPCs, and gives me a free hand, within the rules, to create whizzy-looking special effects for my stories and really impressive powerful opponents. And yes, the regimental sorcerer is a practicality. Each 10-man unit has a man specially trained in DR, and another in DB, who sets up everyone before a field battle. Having said that, I like the SandySorcery, but it really wouldn't fit Gensalorn.
