Do not include large sections of a message in your reply. Especially not to add "Yeah, I agree" or "No, I disagree." Or be excoriated. If someone writes something good and you want to say "good show" please do. But don't include the whole message you praise. 2. Use an appropriate Subject line. 3. Learn the art of paraphrasing: Don't just quote and comment on a point-by-point basis. When paraphrasing you demonstrate exactly how well you understand the point someone was trying to make. 4. There is no number 4. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Richard Ohlson Date: Thu, 15 Feb 1996 23:31:58 -0800 Subject: Re: testing At 12:37 PM 2/15/96 EST, you wrote: >This is a test. > > I got it, Loren. ------------------------------ From: Alain_RAMEAU_at_03__paris__tep@internet.total.fr Date: Fri, 16 Feb 96 09:52:34 MET Subject: Aging Concerning aging and characteristics decrease, many examples were shown, but all considered the present time. It should not be forgotten that Glorantha is (to simplify) a mix of Greek Age, Roman Age and Middle Age Eras (and others), and the actual 70 years life duration in our western countries can not be used as it is. Medecine is certainly not the same concept in Glorantha (do they know vitamines, antibiotics ?). In fact we can consider the life in Glorantha like a difficult one, like during the Middle Age (except for some social classes), where reaching 40 years old was unfrequent, especially due to child mortality. But we can also consider the life in Glorantha like far much easier than the Middle Age (and even than our actual century ?). This could result from the intensive use of magic (a regrow limb spell for example is more efficient that the best surgeon with our present science). On the other hand, sudden death may be also more frequent, due to fights, chaos, strong deseases, and magic attacks. I let you think about that.
