Do not include large sections of a message in your reply. Especially not to add "Yeah, I agree" or "No, I disagree." Or be excoriated. If someone writes something good and you want to say "good show" please do. But don't include the whole message you praise. 2. Use an appropriate Subject line. 3. Learn the art of paraphrasing: Don't just quote and comment on a point-by-point basis. When paraphrasing you demonstrate exactly how well you understand the point someone was trying to make. 4. My player and I talked them and our own over and we came up with something that I think we will try. Spell casters will roll their chance to cast the direct targeting spell and determine if they hit the intended target in one roll of the dice. If the intended target is in melee or close to other possible targets the chance to hit the intended target is half the spell casting chance. If the skill roll is at that 1/2 chance then the target is hit. If the roll is in the second 1/2 of the spell skill then determine which target is hit per normal missile rules. Example; Morgoth has evoke lightning at 55%. He wishes to target an opponent in melee with his companions Blackie the Duck and Kane Wild Storm. Half of Morgoth's evoke lightening is 28%. He rolls a 36%, successfully casting the lightning spell but not directly hitting the intended target. There are three possible targets that could be hit in the melee and Morgoth rolls a 1D3 to determine which one is hit. He rolls a 1 and hits his intended target by luck and skill. Does this look workable? Jim ------------------------------ From: "Jim Bickmeyer" Date: Sat, 13 Jul 96 18:14:06 UT Subject: Sandy's Sorcerer I am looking for some interpretations on some of Sandy's spells. Evoke Water: Is the water from this spell drinkable or does the spell create a Phantom water that acts in many was as water then goes away? Treat Wounds: The way the spell reads it allows a person to attempt multiple first aids on a wound or wounds at a quicker speed. Am I reading this spell correctly or does it heal wounds as if it was the first aid rolls? Help Please. Comments Please.
