Frederic J-M Moulin Re:Spirit Stuff RULES OF THE ROAD 1. Do not include large sections of a message in your reply. Especially not to add "Yeah, I agree" or "No, I disagree." Or be excoriated. If someone writes something good and you want to say "good show" please do. But don't include the whole message you praise. 2. Use an appropriate Subject line. 3. Learn the art of paraphrasing: Don't just quote and comment on a point-by-point basis. When paraphrasing you demonstrate exactly how well you understand the point someone was trying to make. 4. There is no number 4. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Alain_RAMEAU@total.fr (Alain RAMEAU) Date: Tue, 5 Nov 1996 09:25:29 +0100 Subject: Cults on line Bryan writes: << Any lists or indeces of cults that have been published on-line (to a mailing list) or put onto a web site? You can also find a list of various RQ web pages on Loren's RQ homepage (see the address at the bottom of each rq-rules-digest). On those web pages, you can find many cults very intereting, such as Teelo Nori, Vinga, Praxian Spirit Cults, ...All the RQ sites are not listed on this page but you can also use your internet browser to find german, australian, norwegian, french, ... rq web sites ! Alain. ------------------------------ From: David Cake Date: Tue, 5 Nov 1996 17:31:15 +0800 Subject: web stuff Hi. I'm adding various things to my web pages at the moment. I've just added a long (rather rambling, I'm afraid) discussion of the directions I have thought about taking the RQ magic rules. I've also added a couple of things to the Glorantha side of things, but nothing rules related. And does anyone have the article about how spirits work that I posted to the rules list some months ago? I don't seem to have a copy of my own, and I would like to put that up as well. Anyway, http://www.cwr.uwa.edu.au/~cake/gloranthan.html Cheers David ------------------------------ From: "Loren Miller" Date: Tue, 5 Nov 1996 09:55:39 EST Subject: Re: What is to become of this digest? ============================== Chaosium Divorces Avalon Hill The whole reason why we have a RQ Rules mailing list and a Glorantha mailing list is to make it easy to separate the two discussions if, as seemed likely at the time that I took them over from Henk, the rancor between AH and Chaosium increases to levels where they get a divorce. Now that that day looms imminent, we're still fine. We can continue to discuss RQ Rules on the RQ Rules mailing lists, and we'll discuss Glorantha on the Glorantha mailing list, and me, personally, I prefer using the World Design mailing lists to discuss other game worlds, except where the RQ Rules of the world design are most important. If/when the GtG rules come out then I bet first they get discussed on the Glorantha mailing list, until the anti-rules crowd starts chafing and somebody starts up a mailing list for them. ======== Tal Meta writes: > I don't have a full write-up of my gameworld, but it's not Glorantha > either. You can find most of it (adapted for my personnal campaign) in HTML format on my WEB page at http://pilot.msu.edu/user/moulinfr I can also forward you the original in text format, but please feel free to take my HTML version and restore its original look ;-) I am also working on the English + HTML version of my battle system. Yes, I know I already promised it about three time in the last two years, but you will benefite from extended playtesting (Sound like a Windows 95 kind of annoncement, isn't it) Take care, Frederic ------------------------------ End of RQ Rules Digest: V3 #102 ******************************* This is the bottom of the RuneQuest Rules Digest.
